Creating active opportunities for children starts with the environment we create for movement. At Launch Active we have created stimulating spaces that encourage movement with careful consideration into the use of the space, toys, equipment and furniture to ensure children are moving more. The variety of spaces and equipment at Launch Active prompts and encourages children to be creative, work together and challenge themselves. Our environment excites the senses and movement is created with colour, textures and sounds.
We provide purposeful environments that promote curiosity and exploration. Children freely access authentic materials and tools, our spaces foster self-help skills and social competence and reflect children as being confident and capable. The small group size and high teacher ratio supports children’s learning as this allows time for teachers to listen, interact, observe, extend, scaffold and read children’s cues and respond to them.
